The major sources of greenhouse gas emissions identified by the company include scope 1 emissions from diesel and natural gas use, direct emissions from production processes, scope 2 emissions from purchased energy, and indirect emissions from upstream raw material use and transportation. Lianhetech will take climate change management actions both at the management and technical levels to reduce the climate impact of its operations.

- Lianhetech is working on renewable energy substitution to achieve its greenhouse gas reduction goals for scope 2 emissions.
- Multiple pollution reduction and carbon emission reduction synergy projects have been completed, including waste resource utilization, tubular reactor applications, high-energy-consuming equipment substitution, and summer electricity-saving initiatives, resulting in a reduction of approximately 7,193 tons of carbon emissions.2023
- Certain pilot bases introduced a greenhouse gas inventory system in accordance with ISO14064 international standards, conducted an inventory of baseline carbon emission data, and passed the audit, obtaining a greenhouse gas verification certificate. This system clarifies the composition of carbon emissions, key emission reduction areas, and reduction plans.
- Lianhetech’s pilot bases completed the setting of SBTi science-based carbon targets, establishing near-term goals for 2030 and long-term goals for 2050 in alignment with the 1.5°C global temperature rise limitation requirements.
- As of December 2023, the company’s pilot bases had purchased 7,096 MWh of green electricity and are actively implementing various technological modification projects to reduce emissions.
