    - CDP Climate Change Rating: A.

  • 2023

    - Launched two caustic soda products with up to 90% lower carbon dioxide emissions. Powered by renewable energy, this electrolysis production process helps lower Dow‘s customers’ Scope 3 emissions, thereby supporting their sustainability goals while maintaining the same product quality.

    - Achieved final investment decision to build the world’s first net-zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions integrated ethylene cracker and derivatives site in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada.

    - Achieved the start-up of a new methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) distillation and pre-polymers facility at our manufacturing site in Freeport, Texas. The new MDI facility, which replaces our North America capacity in La Porte, Texas, will reduce GHG emissions by more than 45% while expanding supply an additional 30% to support downstream polyurethane growth in automotive, construction, consumer and industrial markets.

    - Work with value chain to track Scope 3 emissions and identify reduction opportunities.

    - Achieved an “A” Supplier Engagement Rating for 3rd straight year by CDP.

    - CDP Climate Change Rating: A-.

    - Dow's team developed and approved Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions reduction plans for its 25 highest emitting sites.

    - Received the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS recognition at nine of Dow's largest global manufacturing facilities.

    - Dow grew its participation in the CDP Supply Chain program by inviting suppliers representing more than 80% of its upstream emissions to disclose their emissions directly to Dow.

  • 2021

    - Dow introduced the world’s first global Carbon-Neutral Silicones for Building Façades program, which features verified carbon-neutral DOWSIL™ Brand Silicones to help reduce embodied carbon in high-performance building façades.
