Initiative for Low-Carbon Transition and High-Quality Green Development in China’s Agrochemical Industry

为应对全球气候变化和绿色贸易壁垒挑战、进一步推动我国农药行业绿色低碳转型发展，中国农药工业协会联合碳衡科技建设农药行业双碳信息披露平台，平台聚焦农药行业供应链低碳发展，包括但不限于农药中间体、农药原药、农药制剂以及包装材料、助剂、标签等配套材料，旨在推动国内农药行业相关企业实现低碳发展。同时，中国农药工业协会率农药行业领军企业共同发起“中国农药行业低碳转型促绿色高质量发展倡议”，这是积极探寻行业向前、向新、向绿发展的重要举措，对推动农药行业可持续发展具有重要意义。在此，我们向农药行业发出如下倡议：

To address global climate change and the challenges posed by green trade barriers, and to further advance the green and low-carbon transformation of the Chinese agrochemical industry, the China Crop Protection Industry Association, in collaboration with Carbon Newture, is launching the Carbon Disclosure Platform of Agricultural Chemicals. The platform focuses on promoting low-carbon development across the agrochemical supply chain, including but not limited to agrochemical intermediates, active ingredients, formulations, packaging materials, additives, and labels. Its aim is to support relevant domestic agrochemical companies in achieving low-carbon development. At the same time, the China Crop Protection Industry Association, together with leading enterprises in the sector, is launching the 'Initiative for Low-Carbon Transition and High-Quality Green Development in China’s Agrochemical Industry.' This initiative represents an important step in driving the industry forward, toward innovation, and green development. It plays a crucial role in advancing the sustainable development of the agrochemical sector. We now call on the industry to take action through the following commitments:

贯彻低碳发展理念，促进农药生产绿色化

Embrace the Concept of Low-Carbon Development and Promote Green Production

我国农药产业始终坚持绿色发展、高质量发展、安全发展和创新发展的基本原则，以构建绿色低碳发展的现代农药产业体系为重点。自“双碳”目标被提出起，中国绿色低碳经济迈入高速发展期，从政策、经济、社会各维度全方位支持着农药行业绿色低碳发展。我们倡议，中国农药行业贯彻低碳发展理念，促进农药生产绿色化。

The Chinese agrochemical industry has consistently adhered to the fundamental principles of green, high-quality, safe, and innovative development, with a focus on establishing a modern agrochemical industry system characterized by low-carbon and sustainable growth. Since the introduction of the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, China’s green and low-carbon economy has entered a period of rapid expansion, with comprehensive support across policy, economic, and social dimensions to drive the agrochemical sector’s green transformation.We call on the Chinese agrochemical industry to fully embrace the concept of low-carbon development and actively promote greener production practices.

加强碳信息披露，筑牢绿色基石

Strengthen Carbon Information Disclosure to Lay a Solid Foundation for Green Development

中国农药行业正经历着高速的产业迭代和产品革新，绿色发展浪潮之下，价值规则正在重塑，低碳优势逐渐显露。我们倡议，企业积极参与“中国农药行业双碳信息披露平台”的披露行动，加快通过碳足迹、碳中和产品认证和并取得合规碳标签，为行业绿色发展筑牢基石。

The Chinese agrochemical industry is undergoing rapid industrial upgrading and product innovation. Amid the green development wave, value rules are being reshaped, and low-carbon advantages are becoming increasingly apparent. We call on enterprises to actively participate in the disclosure activities of the "China Carbon Disclosure Platform of Agriculture Chemicals", accelerate the adoption of carbon footprint (CFP) and carbon neutral certifications, and obtain compliant carbon labels to lay a solid foundation for the green development of the industry.

提升产业链碳数据透明度，更好融入全球绿色贸易

Enhance Supply Chain Carbon Transparency to Better Integrate into Global Green Trade

提高农药供应链各环节碳数据透明度是实现行业绿色低碳发展和绿色贸易的关键。我们倡议，从原药、制剂、中间体到成品农药各环节，打破产业链上下游的碳数据孤岛，提升产业链透明度，形成标杆示范带动、互学互鉴的良好发展氛围，助力行业主动适应国际规则变化，更好融入全球贸易新秩序。

Enhancing carbon data transparency across all stages of the agrochemical supply chain is crucial for driving green, low-carbon development and advancing green trade in the industry. We call on the industry to break down carbon data silos from technical materials, formulations, and intermediates to finished agrochemical products, fostering greater supply chain transparency. By setting industry benchmarks and promoting knowledge-sharing, we can create a collaborative environment that accelerates sustainable progress. This will empower the industry to proactively adapt to evolving international regulations and seamlessly integrate into the new global trade landscape.

主动参与全球绿色竞争，激发内生绿色发展动力

Actively Engage in Global Green Competition and Foster Internal Green Development Momentum

作为全球重要农药生产基地，主动、充分参与全球化市场，积极应对不断变化的气候环境和经济发展挑战，是我国打造农药产品生产强国的重要推动力。我们倡议，农药行业充分发挥绿色低碳转型的驱动作用，主动参与到全球绿色竞争中去，激发内生绿色发展动力，打造全球瞩目的中国可持续农业范本。

As a key global hub for agrochemical production, proactive engagement in the international market and responsiveness to evolving climate and economic challenges are vital to strengthening China’s position as a leading agrochemical manufacturing powerhouse. We call on the agrochemical industry to harness the momentum of green and low-carbon transformation, actively compete in the global green economy, and cultivate internal drivers of sustainable growth—establishing China as a globally recognized model for sustainable agriculture.
